Xiaomi has officially launched the Redmi Note 17 5G in India. The smartphone is the first model in the Redmi Note 17 series to arrive in the country. It debuted in China a few weeks ago and now brings the same hardware and features to Indian buyers.
The Redmi Note 17 5G packs an 8,000mAh battery, a 6.9-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 processor. It also features a 50MP rear camera and runs HyperOS 3, based on Android 16.
Redmi Note 17 5G Price in India and Availability
Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Note 17 5G in two storage variants:

The company is offering an instant discount of Rs 3,000 on purchases made with SBI, Axis Bank, and Kotak Bank credit cards.
The Note 17 5G will go on sale in India from August 12 through Amazon and the Xiaomi India online store.
Buyers can choose from three colour options:
- Arctic Blue
- Dark Night
- Starlight Purple
Display and Software
The Redmi Note 17 5G features a 6.9-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 1,080 × 2,396 pixels. The panel supports a 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut and delivers up to 1,800 nits of peak brightness.
The display also includes:
- Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection
- HydroTouch 2.0 for better touch response with wet hands
- 240Hz touch sampling rate
- 960Hz PWM DC dimming
The smartphone runs HyperOS 3, based on Android 16. Xiaomi promises four Android OS updates and six years of security updates.
