WhatsApp has introduced several new features to make group chats more useful and easier to manage. The latest update adds @all mentions, improves the polling experience with three new enhancements, and makes it easier to create a new group from an existing conversation.
One of the biggest additions in the update is the @all mention feature. It lets users notify every member of a group with a single mention instead of tagging people one by one. WhatsApp designed this feature for urgent updates, such as school or office closures, event reminders, last-minute announcements, or changes to group plans. In groups with more than 32 members, only admins can use @all. Users can also mute @all notifications if they do not want to receive these alerts.

WhatsApp has also upgraded its polling feature with three useful improvements. Group members can now create polls with an end time, which automatically closes voting when the deadline arrives. The update also lets users hide voter names to keep responses private. In addition, poll creators can edit the poll question for up to 15 minutes after posting to fix mistakes or update the wording.

WhatsApp is also simplifying group creation with a new “Create a Similar Group” option. The feature lets users start a new group chat populated with members from an existing one in a single tap, rather than adding participants one by one.

The latest update builds on several features WhatsApp introduced earlier this year. Recent additions include group message history, member tags, event reminders, Apple Music sharing, and iPad sign-ups without a phone number.
