Production Manager
Job Overview
The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing all production processes and ensuring that manufacturing performance meets the company’s quality, cost, delivery, and safety targets. This role involves planning, coordinating, and controlling production processes, managing staff, and ensuring products are produced efficiently and on time.
- Production Planning: Develop and implement production schedules to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Process Optimization: Improve manufacturing processes to enhance productivity and efficiency while reducing waste.
- Quality Control: Ensure that the products meet quality standards and manage processes for continuous quality improvement.
- Budget Management: Oversee the production budget, control costs, and manage resources to meet financial goals.
- Team Management: Lead and supervise production staff, including training, performance evaluation, and employee development.
- Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and foster a safe working environment.
- Inventory Management: Coordinate with the supply chain to ensure raw materials and components are available to meet production demands.
- Problem Solving: Identify and address production issues, bottlenecks, and delays to ensure smooth operations.
- Reporting: Prepare and present production reports to management, highlighting production performance, challenges, and improvements.
Key Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
- Experience:1 5+ years of experience in production management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of production management software (e.g., SAP, ERP), lean manufacturing, and process optimization techniques.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities to manage a diverse team and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills to address production challenges effectively.
- Communication: Strong communication skills to liaise with multiple departments, including procurement, quality control, and senior management.
