How to Check EPF Balance Using UMANG App (Without Logging In)
Even without opening the app, you can access your PF balance in two simple ways:
1. Check PF Balance Via SMS
Send an SMS to 7738299899 from your registered mobile number in this format:
EPFOHO UAN
To get the message in a regional language, add the language code (e.g., for Telugu:
EPFOHO UAN TEL)
You’ll receive an SMS with your latest PF balance and KYC status.
2. Check PF Balance Via Missed Call
Dial 011-22901406 from your registered number.
If your UAN is linked with Aadhaar, PAN, or your bank account, you’ll get an SMS with your EPF details instantly.

How to Raise a EPF Claim Using UMANG
To submit a PF withdrawal request, follow these steps:
- Download the UMANG app from the Play Store or App Store
- Open the app and search for “EPFO”
- Under Employee Centric Services, tap Raise Claim
- Enter your UAN and verify with an OTP
- Select the type of withdrawal, fill in required details, and submit
- You’ll receive a Claim Reference Number for tracking
